PJ LIBRARY:
Their pj’s are on and its time for bed; now is the perfect time to introduce your child to Jewish culture and traditions through stories and songs. Currently being experienced by over 750 Jewish children ages six and under in Rhode Island, the PJ Library sends monthly mailings of quality Jewish books and CD’s into your family’s life all while encouraging literacy and a strong Jewish foundation. PJ Library is a free program that involves not only the kids, but the whole family, and PJ Library’s Grandparents Corner is a great way to bring together multiple generations to share in the experience of Jewish culture.
“What a wonderful program that offers so much for kids and their parents. Receiving the books is an occasion in our house, and the kids look forward to those special days.” -Meirav Werbel, Barrington, RI

Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island:
Investing Your Donation for the Greatest Impact
|
Each year the Community Development Committee, comprised of lay leaders with local and nationally recognized skills, meet to identify the critical needs in our Jewish community here in Rhode Island and around the world. The available programs and services are then screened to determine which meet these critical needs. Once this challenging process is complete, funding is then awarded to those programs that can make the most impact.
Finally, a strict follow-up process is conducted to measure the positive impact of these programs and services in the daily lives of Jews, and to adjust or improve this delivery where necessary. This process is done to maximize your donation and the impact it has in our Jewish community. This is why no single gift can touch more Jewish lives in more meaningful ways than your gift to the 2012 Annual Community Campaign. Questions? Please contact Minna Ellison at 401.421.4111 ext. 176 or mellison@shalomri.org.
