This Passover, please help ensure there's a place at our table for everyone.

As we celebrate Passover, we must give those in need not only a place at our seder table, but also in our hearts. The Jewish Federation of Rhode Island helps countless people overcome poverty, hunger and despair by funding programs that sustain Jewish identity and enrich our community. With your help there will always be a place at the table here at home, in Israel and around the world.

Your Passover gift today will help the Jewish Federation of RI continue to provide for our community's urgent needs now, and to keep the door open for anyone who needs our help in the months ahead.

      Am I doing my part?

I know that Purim is a relatively minor holiday.  At the same time, it's such an interesting story with lots of different angles.  There's the joy of defeating Haman, who sought the destruction of the Jews.  There's the standing on principle by Mordechai, who would not compromise his beliefs.  Then there's the call to action that is heeded by Esther, who could have simply looked the other way but chose to help her people even though it could have jeopardized not only her status with the King, but her life.
