The Harry Elkin Midrasha is a supplementary religious education program for teens in grades 8 through 12. HEM is open to all students in the community regardless of previous religious education, denomination, or synagogue affiliation. HEM offers 5 hours of courses per week in three different locations, Wednesday evenings in Cranston and Sunday mornings in Providence. Classes are offered in a wide variety of subject areas and are taught by an experienced and outstanding faculty. Subject areas include: Jewish History, Ethics, Arts and Culture, Literature, Community Service, Leadership, Rabbinics, Bible, and Hebrew Language. In addition to classes, HEM offers a variety of special programs and trips throughout the year.
